Action4Peace Campaign 2030

Commissioned by: African Artists Peace Initiative X African Union’s Silencing the Guns 2020 Campaign | Period: 2022 - 2023

The overall goal of the Action4Peace Forum was to co-create and pilot concrete actions for sustainable peace in Africa. Guided within the frameworks of the Africa Agenda 2063 and UNSDG’s, the forum offered space to co-design innovations and strategic interventions at the grassroots and national levels.

From ideation to branding, stakeholder engagement, and campaign launch, CoDeX played a key role in shaping Action4Peace 2030 into a high-impact, globally recognized advocacy effort. Our expertise in strategic communication, digital storytelling, and multi-stakeholder engagement helped transform the campaign into a powerful force for peace.

Deliverables

Codex360 supported the initiative through end-to-end strategic communication and digital execution.

This included visual identity development, event branding assets, social media content systems, multimedia coverage, stakeholder communication materials, and a centralized digital platform to curate event information and engagement. We also supported campaign messaging, content production, and post-event digital amplification.

Results

The Action4Peace Campaign moved beyond awareness and into coordinated action. By combining strategic communication, cultural convening, and grassroots mobilization, the initiative created structured pathways for sustainable peacebuilding. The campaign launch gathered over 25+ CSOs and initiative leaders along with 300+ participants to discuss implementation of (5) action pilots.

A defining outcome was the launch of five 'Action Factories' — focused on Education, Cultural Diplomacy, Sport, Interfaith Dialogue, and Music. Each factory served as a practical output hub, translating dialogue into tangible community-led initiatives. Rather than treating peace as an abstract concept, these pillars activated local actors, institutions, and creatives to co-design solutions rooted in their lived realities.

Through these thematic tracks, the campaign strengthened cross-sector collaboration, amplified youth participation, and positioned culture and creativity as powerful vehicles for social cohesion. The integrated communication strategy ensured visibility across digital and physical platforms, while the action-oriented structure enabled long-term momentum beyond the campaign itself. The campaign is also a co-signatory of The Jena Declaration.
