The AI Green Lab is a 12-month cross-regional learning community connecting young innovators from Africa and the Caribbean to explore the role of AI in sustainable development. Commissioned by the UNESCO National Commission and The Young Marine Explorers (Bahamas), the initiative empowers youth aged 18–30 with practical knowledge, ethical awareness, and collaborative opportunities to apply emerging technologies to climate action and environmental challenges.

Deliverables

CoDeX played a key role in designing the learning experience, concept notes, modules, branding, and executing a comprehensive digital engagement strategy, ensuring the program's success through:

✅ Design Learning Module (1-year): Knowledge-sharing platforms for fellows to access resources, engage in discussions, and exchange insights.

✅ Co-facilitate Action & Field Research: Field visits & mentorship programs to connect theory with real-world applications.

✅ Run Virtual Classrooms & dialogues: Webinars & virtual events hosted on Zoom, providing interactive learning opportunities.

✅ Public debates & community engagement initiatives to drive discourse on AI and sustainability.

✅ Produce Explainer Videos & Social Media Dissemination

By combining structured learning, digital tools, and strategic communications, AI Green Lab has empowered young leaders with the skills and networks needed to harness AI for sustainable development, creating a lasting impact on environmental innovation.
