About: DITE4Africa plays a critical role in advancing digital governance, capacity-building, and innovation across Africa. An assessment revealed inefficiencies in internal documentation and stakeholder engagement, making it difficult to track and communicate the Center’s growing impact.

With an expanding portfolio—including 3 intergovernmental convenings, 10 advisory services, 26+ virtual and hybrid events, and multiple publications in 2023 alone—a structured strategic communication plan was essential. To meet this growing need, CoDeX developed and implemented a two-year (2024–2025) Strategic Communication Work Plan, aligning with ECA’s strategic priorities.

Deliverables

The DITE4Africa Project Communication work plan (2024 – 2025) provided a detailed roadmap for implementing strategic communication deliverables for the Digital Center of Excellence on Digital ID, Trade, and Economy (DITE4Africa).

Goal: To serve as a strategic guideline aimed at streamlining project-related communication for ECA’s broader strategic deliverables on Africa’s digital transformation agenda.

✅ Developing a centralized SharePoint system to streamline documentation and knowledge management.

✅ Building and updating a stakeholder contact database to enhance engagement with Member States, UN agencies, and partners.

✅ Producing high-impact digital content, including policy briefs, blog articles, and quarterly explainer videos to highlight key milestones.

✅ Boosting visibility through social media, increasing Twitter (X) impressions to 1,000+ per month and ensuring consistent content flow.

Results

This structured communication approach has enhanced the Center’s visibility, improved stakeholder collaboration, and strengthened digital advocacy efforts, ensuring that ECA’s work in technology and innovation reaches key decision-makers and the broader public.
